IN MEMORY OF CAROL JEAN NELSON
Carol Jean Hensley Nelson 11/6/1942 - 00/00/0000. We will always remember Carol for her beautiful smile that lit up every room she entered. Carol was Jess Nelson's partner in life and stepmother to Jesse Bryan Nelson, Jr. and Juliet Rene Nelson, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her mother and father were Emmogene Randolph and Wayne Alvin Hensley, both from North Texas. Carol was born in Sherman-Dennison, Texas. She often visited her grandparents, Mama Jessie and Daddy Lester Hensley in Savoy, TX, while growing up. She is survived by her brother, Richard Hensley and sister-in-law Diane Hensley and nephews Craig, Scott Hensley and their children. Carol grew up in Fort Worth, TX and Los Angetes, CA. She met Jess in 1977 and they were married a year later. She worked as a ticket agent for American Arlines in Los Angeles, CA, Orange County, CA and Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Carol retired from AA after 27 years. She stayed busy after retirement, and held many part-time airline related jobs in the DFW area and enjoyed working at the Kimball Art Museum in Fort Worth. Her last love was working with FIXATOY a charity she helped create with her husband. Carol gathered many friends over the years...co-workers, Jazzersize buddies, TV production comrades, and many more. She fought very hard for a decade battling with Alzhemers. But, even as she lost most memories , she would recognize her friends, even to the end. Her warmth will continue on and will be comforting to all her loved ones.
