Throughout his career, Nelson's adventurous spirit led him to collaborate with other contemporary artists, architects, designers and producers. He relishes the opportunity to merge his creative energies and imagination with others, resulting in cross-disciplinary projects that pushed boundaries and expanded the realm of artistic expression. His creative work in film and children’s television are fine examples of his team working acumen.
Jess was born and raised in culturally rich film and television localities in Southern California, and grew to love working around and in the world of TV and film productions.
When Dallas, Texas became the "Third Coast" for film and satellite television, Jess found that his talent for Art Direction and Production Design would provide many oppurtunities to work in the industry as a free lance set designer and art director. "The work was fun and rewarding, filling the gaps between commissioned art and sculptural projects." Jess declares, "The most rewarding aspect of the industry is working with exteemly talented people, building teams, solving problems and creating products that would be enjoyed by millions of people."
Art Departments
Specialize in a wide array of creative artistic services, covering everything from sets, props, costumes, painting, carpentry, SFX and emergency fixes. Art Departments coordinate all visual aspects of a production with the Producers, Directors, Production Designer and all other production teams like Lighting, Sound and Cameramen.
Art Direction
Is building a multi-talanted team to perform all types of creative tasks.
Set Design
Is designing and building temporary environments for the performances.
Art Department Teams
Are artistic creatives building, crafting and handling any art project needed in any location.
Prop and Puppet Making
Is working with show props and puppets, puppeteers, script writers , Producers and Directors.
