ABOUT Jess
American Artist, Sculptor, Muralist and Production Designer Jess Nelson is recognized worldwide as the creator of fine art objects and projects for private individuals and international companies. In 1972 he created the Endangered Wildlife Series sculptures in sterling silver and 24K gold. Thousands of his gold plated miniature animal and aquatic sculptures were produced in the 70s and 80s. His sterling silver sculptures were sold in fine jewelry stores like Gumps, Neiman Marcus, and the Smithsonian Natural History museum gift shop . Jess Nelson's 24K Gold plated pewter sculpts were sold in art galleries , gift shops, and theme parks like Sea World, Knotts Berry Farm and Busch Gardens. As a TV and Film Production Designer and Art Director, Jess worked on several TV and Feature Film projects. On the children's video programs "Barney and the Backyard Gang" and PBS's TV series "Barney and Friends", Jess created the 1992 Barney plush doll, and designed show sets, puppets, costumes and props. His murals and dioramas are in private wildife museums. Articles about Jess Nelson and his art projects have been published over the years in national media, popular magazines, and coffee table books.
